UniMate Software Ltd. is dedicated to delivering professional database applications. Most of our work is based on consulting with clients about their need for specialised systems that are not covered in mainstream applications.

Our software is used in public administration and private sector. Our strategy is to deliver software that is flexible and user-friendly. We believe that a superior design of the interface is an important part of the succcess of any tool, and that by building software that is easy to use and understand, we fulfill our clients needs for business applications.

Our products are built with Omnis Technology. Omnis is one of the leading RAD tools available, although not so well known. Using this tool, Omnis Clasic or Omnis Studio, our applications can be made once, and deployed on platforms like Windows, Apple Macintosh and Linux.

UniMate Software is represented in UK, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Romania. Our main production site is in Bucharest, Romania. Our programmers and consultants undertake projects starting with an analysis of the needs, then working after a model often called "eXtreme programming" or "Agile Programming". This involves making several prototypes of the software, and at the same time letting users give valuable feedback. In contrast to working from A to Z, after a detailed specification, that is often outdated when the project finishes anyway.

As we try to evolve our projects into some form of commercially available components after delivering a system to an end-user, we have over the years several systems available. These can be used as a basis for individual applications that is specialised for different tasks.
